Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), the joint venture between the Japanese automaker Toyota and the Indian business Kirloskar Group has introduced a limited edition of the Fortuner TRD Sportivo sports utility vehicle in the Indian car market at a new festive season price of Rs 24,26,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The new special edition car model has been designed by Toyota Racing Development (TRD) and will be available in the 4×4 MT variant of the SUV model. The carmaker will be selling 400 units of the special edition of the Fortuner TRD Sportivo till the month of December 2013.
Speaking about the success of the Fortuner SUV, Mr. Sandeep Singh Deputy Managing Director & COO (Marketing and Commercial) TKM stated that the limited edition car model has been launched specially for the festive season to boost sales in the sluggish sales ridden Indian auto market.
The Fortuner SUV car model has sold a total of 54,000 units since its launch in August 2009.
