    Nissan India exports its 3,00,000th car from the Ennore Port

    Nissan India, the Indian arm of the Japanese automobile manufacturer Nissan has exported its 3,00,000th car from the Ennore Port near Chennai. At this milestone moment for the carmaker, Mr. Kenichiro Yomura President & Mr. Baskarachar MD Nissan India and Chairman Ennore Port were present.

    The Japanese automaker had started its export operations in the month of September 2010 and has been exporting auto products to more than 100 global auto markets since. These markets include regions of Africa, West Asia and Europe.

    Mr. Yomura attributed the achievement of this milestone to the automaker’s manufacturing capabilities at its Oragadam plant near Chennai. Recently in July 2013, the carmaker entered into an agreement with Ennore Port that allowed it with bigger parking space and priority handling of its export units at the port.
