    Ford India registers sales growth of 36.41 percent in October 2013

    Ford India, the Indian subsidiary of the American automobile manufacturer Ford has posted a growth in its sales for the month of October 2013. The carmaker sold a total of 14,935 units in the month in comparison to 10,948 units sold in the same month in 2012.

    The domestic sales of the American automaker rose by 21 percent posting sales of 9,163 units in October 2013 against 7,577 units sold in the same month in 2012. The exports of the company also increased by 71 percent selling 5,772 units in the overseas auto markets in October 2013 in comparison to 3,371 units exported in October 2012.

    Commenting on the October sales of the carmaker, Mr. Vinay Piparsania Executive Director (Marketing, Sales and Service) Ford India stated that the newly launched EcoSport compact sports utility vehicle has helped the carmaker grow in sales in times of slow and sluggish market conditions.
