Indian carmaker, Tata Motors is getting ready for a series of launches in the coming months. After unveiling the next generation Indica, Indigo will get a facelift, a cross over SUV between Safari and Sumo and the much awaited Nano will be launched in the country.
“We will be unveiling the crossover Safari and Sumo, which was displayed at the Auto Expo two years back,” Tata Motors passenger cars division president Rajeev Dube said. “This will be followed by the next generation Indigo, probably on the same platform as the Indica,” he said, though refusing to give any timeframe.
Dube said apart from the Indica and Indigo, the company also plans to introduce next generation models of the Safari and Sumo.
The company has already spent Rs 1700 crore on the new Indica platform and expect sales over 12000-13000 units a month.
