Audi India, the Indian subsidiary of the German luxury car manufacturer Audi has launched the A4 sedan with Audi Drive Select at a price of Rs 31,74,000 (Ex-showroom Mumbai). The new launch is aimed at boosting sales amid the slowdown and strengthen Audi’s its leadership in the Indian car market.
The new upgraded A4 sedan is powered by a 2.0 TDI engine which offers power of 177 hp at 4200 rpm and torque of 380 Nm at 1750-2500rpm. The car is capable of speeding from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 7.9 seconds and is claimed to offer a mileage of 17.11 kilometers per liter.
The new Audi Drive Select feature of the A4 enables the driver to choose between different modes in accordance with the route and driver’s preferences. These modes directly influence the engine, steering and transmission of the car. The Comfort mode suitable for relaxed city driving, Auto mode for speed based driving, Dynamic mode for highway driving and Individual mode which allows the drivers to choose their own preferences.
The German automaker is also in the process of expanding its dealership network in the Indian car market from the existing 27 centers to 35 dealerships by the end of 2013.
