Indian sports utility vehicle manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra has launched a new special edition of the Scorpio SUV car model in the Indian car market. The special edition SUV has been priced at Rs 11,88,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new edition of the Scorpio is available in Pearl White color and includes luxury features such as chrome plated alloys and new upholstery. According to Mr. Vivek Nayer Chief Marketing Officer Automotive Division Mahindra & Mahindra, the carmaker expects the special edition to be a success with consumers in the Indian car market and will be selling only 500 units of the limited edition car model.
The Scorpio special edition SUV is equipped with a 2.2 liter diesel engine and includes features such as intellipark with sensors for parking, light and rain sensors to automatically control head lights and wipers apart from anti lock braking system and airbags.
A total of more than 4,00,000 units of the Scorpio have been sold since launch in the year 2002 and about 50,000 units have been sold by the carmaker since 2011.
