Volkswagen India, the Indian subsidiary of the German automaker Volkswagen has launched a new variant of the Vento sedan namely the Vento TSI at a price of Rs 9,99,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new variant of the Vento sedan is equipped with a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The petrol engine provides 105 PS of power and 175 Nm of torque.
According to Mr. Arvind Saxena Managing Director Volkswagen Passenger Cars, the Vento TSI features a 7-speed automatic gearbox and a host of safety features such as ABS, ESP, dual frontal airbags and an electronic engine immobilizer.
The sedan car model is claimed to sport a mileage of 16.9 kilometers per liter. The German automobile manufacturer expects the new car variant to boost sales amid slow sales in the Indian car market.
