German carmaker Volkswagen has launched the next generation of the SUV Touareg in India on September 26, 2012 with an entry level price of Rs 58,50,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). The new version of the SUV is equipped with 3 litre V6 TDI engine which offers a power of 245PS at 3800-4400rpm and a mileage of 12.08 kilometers per liter.
Among the new additions to the SUV are an additional length and width of 41mm and 12mm respectively in comparison to the earlier version. The car model features a panoramic sunroof and bi xenon headlights along with LED daytime running lights. The carmaker has also introduced ’14 way’ electrically adjustable front seats in the new Touareg in addition to two piece front center armrest.
The safety features in the Touareg include Electronic Stability Control (ESP), driver and passenger airbags and ABS with brake assistant.
