Toyota Kirloskar Motor, the Indian arm of the Japanese automobile manufacturer Toyota has announced its latest upgraded version of the Corolla Altis premium sedan for the Indian car market. The new car model has been launched at an entry level price of Rs 11,99,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The new 11th generation of the premium sedan will be available in 5 petrol variants with price ranging from Rs 11,99,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the entry level variant to Rs 16,89,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the top model. The diesel variants are priced between Rs 13,07,000 and Rs 16,68,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
Commenting about the new car launch, Mr. Naomi Ishii Managing Director Toyota Kirloskar Motor stated that the Corolla has sold more than 4 crore units across the globe. In the Indian market, the Corolla has so far sold a total of 88,500 units since its launch in 2003.
Mr. N Raja Director and Senior Vice President (Sales and Marketing) Toyota Kiroloskar Motor stated that the new car model is booked for 3 months and expects the launch to strengthen the Toyota brand in the Indian car market.
