Indian car manufacturer Tata Motors has posted a decline in its sales for the month of April 2014 selling 33,892 units including commercial and passenger vehicles as well exports. In comparison, the automaker sold a total of 51,160 units in the same month in 2013.
The domestic sales in the month of April 2014 stood at 30,670 units in comparison to 47,595 units sold in the same month in 2013, a decline of 36 percent. The passenger segment accounted for 7,441 units in the total sales figure for April 2014 against 11,570 vehicles sold in April 2013.
The commercial vehicle segment of the carmaker sold a total of 23,229 units in April 2014 as compared to 36,025 vehicles sold in the same month in 2013. The exports of the automaker in the month also declined by 10 percent to 3,222 units as compared to 3,565 vehicles shipped in April 2013.
