Tata Motors has now officially launched Tata Hexa 7-seater car in India in six variants: XE, XM, XMA, XT, XTA and XT 4×4 at priced between Rs. 11.99 lakhs to Rs. 17.49 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The Hexa is manufactured like a contemporary and sharp-looking SUV with a honeycomb grille and available in two types of diesel powered engine with both Manual and Automatic transmission options. The Tata Hexa will mainly compete against the Toyota Innova Crysta and Mahindra XUV500.

Tata Hexa 7-seater car technical details:
The all new Hexa is powered by 2.2L VARICOR turbodiesel 4-cylinder engine. The base XE variant is powered by VARICOR 320 diesel engine that produces 150PS of power @ 4000rpm and 320Nm of torque between 1700-2700rpm, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, while the XM and XT variants are slightly more powerful VARICOR 400 diesel engine with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission, which outputs 156 PS of power @ 4000rpm and 400 Nm of torque between 1700-2700rpm. Also a 4×4 drivetrain is exclusive to the XT manual variant. It has ARAI fuel efficiency certification under test conditions is 14.4 kmpl.
The Tata Hexa crossover has a wheelbase of 2,850 mm and measures 4788 mm in length, 1900 mm in width, 1785 mm in height and 200mm of ground clearance. Also it has 60-litre of fuel tank capacity.
