Skoda Auto India, the Indian arm of the Volkswagen owned Skoda Auto has launched a new upgraded version of the Rapid sedan in the Indian automobile market. The new Rapid sedan has a an entry level price of Rs 8,85,000 (ex-showroom Mumbai).
The upgraded Rapid sedan includes new features in the Elegance top-end trim of the car model such as projector headlamps, Bluetooth enabled security coded music system, steering mounted audio controls, chrome lining on steering wheel, new climatronic air-conditioning and front passenger seat adjustment options from the rear. The new projector headlamps are also available in the Active Plus trim.
The revamped Rapid sedan continues with the 105PS 1.6-litre petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The carmaker also offers a 6-speed automatic transmission option with the petrol version. The diesel version of the car model is powered by a 105PS 1.6-litre diesel engine with manual transmission.
