Reva Electric Car Company (RECC) unveiled its latest range of cars this week. These cars will run on lithium-ion batteries and will be priced between Rs.7 and 8 lakh. They will also come equipped with solar power panels that will increase their mileage to about 150-200 km per charge. Revaβs President for Sales & Marketing, R. Chandramouli, said that the company would soon be launching its rent-a-car service. Under the service, the car will be rented out at the rate of Rs.2000 per month. This will enable more people to drive the car without having to buy it. Chandramouli feels that the move will help the company increase sales.
