Nissan Motor India, the Indian subsidiary of the Japanese automobile manufacturer Nissan has reported a growth of 64.2 percent in its sales for the month of September 2014. The carmaker sold a total of 4,145 units in the month in comparison to 2,527 units sold in the same month in 2013.
The automaker has closed the second quarter of the 2014-15 fiscal with the total sales of 25,741 units as compared with 12,515 units sold in the same period in the fiscal 2013-14.
Nissan Motor India, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Japanese automaker Nissan Motor has a combined manufacturing facility with its global alliance partner Renault along with a Research and Development facility near Chennai.
Currently, Nissan operates the two brands, namely Nissan and Datsun in the Indian car market.
