Nissan India, the Indian arm of the Japanese carmaker Nissan has launched the Nissan Safety Driving Forum with the aim of explaining the importance of safe driving to buyers and customers in the country. The initiative was launched in Mumbai and Delhi in the month of February 2013 where the participants were made aware of the various safety features of the Nissan cars with the help of displays and simulators.
As part of the initiative, the importance of seatbelts and the deployment of air bags were explained to the participants. They were also given the opportunity of taking test drives of Nissan vehicles to introduce them to the safety features offered in the Nissan car models. The company demonstrated the various road safety features and practices in India.
The carmaker is in the process of conducting similar exercises across Indian cities with the recent road accidents and mishaps in India.
