New Etios Liva and Platinum Etios launched in India

Toyota Motor India launched the New Platinum Etios and New Etios Liva in India and also announced standardization of Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) across all Toyota models and in all variants. The facelifted Toyota Etios sedan and Etios Liva hatchback will be available in three grades G, V and VX.

Toyota Platinum Etios is available at prices range from Rs. 6,54,189 to Rs. 7,85,256 for the petrol variants and Rs. 7,67,229 to Rs. 8,98,296 for the diesel variant (Ex-showroom Delhi). The New Etios Liva hatchback is priced in the range of Rs. 5,39,937 to Rs. 6,39,231 for the petrol variant and Rs. 6,69,863 to Rs. 7,53,657 for the diesel variant (Ex-showroom Delhi).

The new versions of Platinum Etios will be priced higher by Rs. 10,000 – 22,000 as compared to the older versions. Toyota is keeping the existing design for the entry level variant of the Etios unchanged targeting the fleet segment.

New Etios Liva and Platinum Etios features highlight:

Both Sedan and hatchback models feature a V-shaped grille with chrome surrounds (body-colored for Etios Liva), all new front and rear bumper with larger intakes, new fog lamp bezel, New alloy wheel for Liva and near rear chrome garnish with reflectors for Etios.

Inside the both models are loaded with feature such as a new Optitron instrument cluster, All new foldable rear arm rest with best-in-class cabin space (For Etios), new dual tone black and ivory dashboard, new seat fabric-Ivory, foldable rear seats, power-operated ORVMs. Company has also improved its safety standards to added ABS as standard feature for the across range model, ISOFIX child seat locks, apart from dual airbags.

New Etios Liva and Platinum Etios engine technology:

The Platinum Etios comes with the same 1.5-litre petrol engine and 1.4-litre D-4D diesel engine. The 1.5-litre petrol variant can produce 90 PS of power at 5600rpm and 132 Nm of torque at 3000rpm, while the 1.4-litre diesel engine is producing 68 PS of power at 3800rpm and 170 Nm of maximum torque between 1800-2400rpm. The car can deliver an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 16.78 kmpl for the petrol engine and 23.59 kmpl for the diesel engine. The wheelbase of the new Etios Platinum is 2550 mm and it measures 4369 mm in length, 1695 mm in width and 1510 mm in height.

The new Etios is powered by 1.2-litre petrol engine which can produce 80 PS of power at 5600rpm and 104 Nm of torque at 3100rpm while the 1.4-litre D-4D diesel engine has capacity to produce 68 PS of power at 3800rpm and 170 Nm of maximum torque between 1800-2400rpm. The car can deliver an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 18.16 kmpl for the petrol engine and 23.59 kmpl for the diesel engine. It has wheelbase of 2460 mm and it measures 3884 mm in length, 1695 mm in width and 1510 mm in height.
