Ducati has launched the Ducati XDiavel in India at a starting price of Rs. 15.87 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new bike is available in two variants – the regular XDiavel and XDiavel S. The regular XDiavel is priced at Rs. 15.87 lakh while the XDiavel S comes at Rs. 18.47 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi). The bikes will be available in Ducati dealerships in major cities across India and the XDiavel comes in called Dark Stealth while XDiavel S has Brembo M50 brakes and polished black finish, called Thrilling Black.
The XDiavel is powered by 1,262 cc Testastretta DVT (Desmodromic Variable Timing) engine which is capable to delivering 156 bhp of power at 9,500rpm and 129 Nm of torque at 5,000rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission with slipper clutch. The XDiavel is a belt-driven motorcycle, it means the powered is delivered to the rear wheel via a belt and not a chain, which is a conventional cruiser motorcycle characteristic.
The both variants of motorcycles have the same engine specifications but the difference is that the XDiavel S will have a full LED lighting cluster along with Bluetooth, an infotainment system and machined finish on the alloys, engine covers and so on. The XDiavel also loaded with the ride-by-wire technology and will be available with three riding modes that are Sport, Touring and Urban.
In terms of safety is concerned the motorcycle is equipped with safety pack ABS, EBD, Traction Control (Ducati Safety Pack) and ‘Launch Control’ system for those quick 0-100 km/h sprint times. The bike also has a cruise control.
