Mercedes Benz India has finally launched the new 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class in India at priced Rs. 56.7 lakh for E200 petrol and Rs. 70.15 for E350d diesel (both ex-showroom, Delhi). This 5th generation E-Class has arrived in India and it comes only in long wheelbase, measuring over 5 meters long and 134mm of legroom for rear seat occupants. So India is the first market to get the right-hand-drive (RWD) version of the E-Class. The new E-Class is being made by the company at its local plant outside Pune.

The new E-Class LWB is the longest car in its segment comes with advanced features such as its own signature twin LED daytime running lights, new 17-inch light alloy wheels, electrical ORVMs with integrated turn lights and LED taillamps with Stardust effect. The car is equipped with luxury and comfort features along with the generous amount of space at the rear, 64 shades to set the cabin’s ambient lighting and first time in E-class: memory rear seats with comfort headrest. The driving is now more comfortable and ride quality make you feel like at home.
Apart from seats, the cabin is also loaded with features such as – a Panoramic sliding sunroof, 13-speaker Burmester surround sound system, 12.3-inch media display screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone connectivity, AIR BODY air suspension system, tri-zone climate control and ARTICO leather upholstery, a piano black centre console with a touch pad and other controls, new touchpad control at steering for the multimedia and car settings.
Additional safety features like the reverse and 360 surround aerial view cameras, parking sensors both front and back side, 7-airbags (dual front airbags, front side airbags, curtain airbags, knee bag for driver), Anti-lock braking system (ABS) with brake assist (BAS), tyre pressure loss warning system, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Acceleration Skid Control (ASR), driver assist and alert features.

New 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class technical details:
The petrol version E200 is available with the 2.0-litre turbocharged engine technology which delivers 184 PS of power at 5500 rpm and 300 Nm of torque at between 1200-4000rpm. On the other hand, the E350d diesel variant is powered by 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel engine that generates 258 PS of power at 3400 rpm and 620 Nm of torque between 1600-2400rpm. Both variants are paired with a 9G-Tronic 9-speed automatic transmission.
The petrol engine has a maximum speed of 240 km/h and it can go from 0 to 100 in 8.5 seconds while the diesel model is carrying 250 km/h of top speed and it can reach from 0 to 100 in just 6.6 seconds.
The new 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class L measures 5063 mm in length, 1860 mm in width, 1494 mm in height and it has 3,079 mm of wheelbase which is 205 mm more than the previous model.
