    KTM 390 Duke, 200 Duke and 250 Duke bike launched in India

    Bajaj Auto India has launched the powerful motorcycle KTM 390 Duke, 200 Duke and 250 Duke. The Duke 390 is available at priced Rs. 2.25 lakh, Duke 200 is priced at Rs. 1.43 lakh and the Duke 250 at Rs. 1.73 lakh (all ex-showroom New Delhi). The bookings have already begun for the all new bikes and the deliveries started for the 200 Duke and the 250 Duke while 390 Duke commence from March 2017. Last month company had launched the updated version of supersport bikes RC 390 at priced Rs. 2.25 lakh and RC 200 at Rs. 1.71 lakh.

    It gets a bifurcated headlamp with LEDs, a new instrument console with more features like top speed clocker, 0-60 timer, etc. Side gets revised fuel tank design with sharp extensions emerging towards the headlamp. Also on offer is a revised exhaust system and a new rear sub-frame. Below are the points worth knowing about the upcoming Duke 390.

    The KTM Super Duke R inspired styling with sharper lines gracing the motorcycle. The new Duke gets a tweaked headlamp with LEDs and new Colour TFT instrument console with extra features like top speed clocker 0-60 timer, etc. The bike is bigger in dimensions, but shortened little in wheelbase for more compact footprint. It comes in revised fuel tank design with sharp extensions emerging towards the headlamp, revised exhaust system and new rear sub-frame. Also the company announced that, the all the new models are BS-IV compliant, but not increased the prices accordingly.

    The engine matched from RC 200, continues 199.5 cc single-cylinder with 25 PS of power at 10,000rpm and 19.2 Nm of torque at 8000rpm, but with BS IV compliant and mated to 6-speed transmission. It continues with the current design but new graphics and paintwork. Some of the features include, upside down forks in the front, mono shock at the rear, MRF tyre at but no ABS and no slipper clutch, etc.

    It motorcycles has 248.76 cc single-cylinder engine with 30 Ps of power at 9000rpm and 24 Nm of torque at 7500rpm. It is paired to a 6-speed transmission. It comes with a slipper clutch, MRF Revz tyres instead of Metzelers. It gets the conventional WP USD forks and a monoshock suspension at the rear. The disc brakes 300 mm front and 230 mm at rear disk units. Also has a side mounted exhaust.

    This bike is powered by 373.2 cc single-cylinder engine that generates 43.5 PS of power at 9000rpm and 37 Nm of torque at 7000rpm, mated to a 6-speed transmission. It has 13.5 litre fuel tank capacity and ABS as standard.

    • Larger fuel tank of 13.4 litres
    • Side-mounted exhaust

    • Wheelbase 1,357 mm (reduced by 10 mm)
    • Ground clearance 178 mm
    • Seat height 830 mm (increased by 30 mm)
    • Dry weight 149 kg (increased by 10 kg)
