    Porsche 718 Boxster and Cayman launched at 81.63 lakh

    Porsche India has officially launched the 718 Boxster at priced Rs. 81.63 lakh and 718 Cayman at Rs. 85.53 lakh (both ex-showroom Delhi) for Indian market. The new mid-engine sports 718 cars are built for passionate and sporty driving, included a newly tuned chassis and stronger brakes.

    Both cars are powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 300 PS of power at 6,500 rpm and 380Nm of maximum torque between 1950-4500rpm. The previous version was equipped with a 3.4-litre, 6-cylinder engine. Also equipped with 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) and Sport Chrono Package and both cars can shift from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and have a top speed of 275 km/h.

    The both cars get ceramic brakes, bi-xenon headlamps with integrated 4-point LED daytime running lights, sports seats, sports steering wheel, Porsche Communication Management system with an eight-speaker music system (6-speaker). So in the other way we can say those all equipments which were optional in previous generation of Cayman and Boxster, now most of the features are become as standard in new generation cars.

    The reworked boot lid, windscreen and roof structure preserved from the previous models, revised front appears wider and more powerful with larger cooling intakes, Porsche bi-xenon headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights, reshaped rear body with stronger presence especially due to the accent strip, redesigned lights in three-dimensional LED technology and four-point brake lights.

    Inside the cabin the cockpit features upgraded elements like high quality leather with stitching for greater sophistication. Meanwhile, state-of-the-art technology compliments the unique driving experience of the newly designed dash panel that includes the latest generation of Porsche Communication Management (PCM), operated by touchscreen or voice control.
