Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest car manufacturer has launched a CNG version of the Ertiga multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) in the Indian car market know as ‘Ertiga Green’ at a price of Rs 6,52,000. With the launch of a CNG version of the Ertiga, Maruti Suzuki has become the first carmaker in India to do so in the segment.
The CNG version of the Ertiga compact MPV is being offered in two variants and is claimed to provide a mileage of 22.8 kilometers per kilogram of CNG. Other cars by Maruti Suzuki which are available with a CNG option comprise the Alto 800, the WagorR, the Eeco, the SX4 and the Estilo.
While the base variant of the CNG version of the Ertiga is priced at Rs 6,52,000, the top-end version of the car model is priced at Rs 7,30,000.
The automaker expects to boost sales and regain its lost market share in the Indian auto market with the launch of the new CNG version of the Ertiga car model.
