Hyundai Motors India, the second largest car manufacturer in India has opened a new showroom in Chennai making it its 24th dealership in the state of Tamil Nadu. The Korean carmaker expects to further expand its presence in the Southern region with the launch of the new showroom, stated Mr. B S Seo MD and CEO Hyundai Motor India.
The automaker has a total of 385 dealerships across India and 23 of them are in Tamil Nadu. The carmaker currently holds about 16.4 percent of the auto market share in the state. The new outlet will help the automaker strengthen its presence in the state and garner higher sales and market share.
The Korean automobile manufacturer has posted a sales increment of 6.2 percent in its domestic sales in India for the month of December 2013 and is among the few carmakers who have witnessed growth in the month.
