Hyundai Motor India, the largest ca exporter and the second largest car manufacturer in India has posted a sales increment of 2.58 percent in the month of December 2013. The carmaker clocked sales of 49,069 units in the month compared with 47,833 units sold in December 2012.
The domestic sales of the carmaker increased by 6.24 percent in the month selling 28,345 units against 26,697 units sold in the same month in 2012. The exports of the carmaker declined by 1.94 percent from 21,136 units sold in December 2012 to 20,724 units in December 2013.
Commenting on the sales performance, Mr. Rakesh Srivastava Senior Vice-President (Sales and Marketing) Hyundai India stated that the carmaker manufactured vehicles at 99 percent capacity utilization achieving the fastest 50,00,000 roll-out in India.
He added that the Korean automaker plans to introduce new products and initiatives in 2014 to build on the current momentum.
