Fiat India, the Indian arm of the Italian automobile major Fiat has launched the new 2014 Fiat Linea sedan in the Indian car market at a starting price of Rs 6,99,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new features in the facelift model include a new grille and bumper package along with new wheels and a redesigned boot lid.
The interiors of the new sedan model feature a revamped interior package that includes a soft touch dashboard with new AC vents and a new center console. The new sedan is powered by the 1.4-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol ‘T-Jet’ engine and alternately the 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel, ‘Multijet’ engine.
However, the lowest variant will be equipped with the older 1.4-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated, petrol engine.
Commenting about the new car launch, Mr. Nagesh Basavanhalli President and MD Fiat Chrysler India Operations stated that the carmaker expects the new sedan to power its growth in Indian market. The launch will be followed by introduction of more new models in 2014.
