BMW India, the Indian arm of the German luxury automobile manufacturer BMW has launched a new variant of its X5 sports utility vehicle, namely the X5 Expedition at Rs 64,90,000 (Ex-showroom India).
The new X5 Expedition has been positioned as the new base variant for the Indian luxury car market and sports the same engine specifications as the existing variant. However, the relatively lower priced new car variant misses out on various interior features such as an infotainment system, navigation system, LED headlights, etc.
The carmaker has also launched the new BMW ActiveHybrid 7 sedan in India at a price of Rs 1.35 crore (Ex-showroom Delhi) which will be imported as a completely built unit. The new car is powered by an inline six cylinder engine and an electric engine with TwinPower turbocharger.
