Honda Cars India, the wholly owned subsidiary of the Japanese automobile manufacturer Honda is planning to start exporting the newly launched Mobilio multi-purpose vehicle to South Africa.
Mr. Shigeru Yamazaki Senior Vice President (Sales & Marketing) Honda Cars India confirmed that the carmaker was planning to export the Mobilio to South Africa.
Mr. Yamazaki stated that while the exact date to commence the exports as not been finalized yet, the car model has already garnered about 7,000 bookings in the domestic market. He added that the carmaker expects good response from the Indian consumers.
The automaker also targets 230 outlets across 150 cities in India by March 2015 out of which 75 percent will come up in smaller towns and cities.
