Audi India, the Indian arm of the German luxury carmaker Audi has posted an increase of 57.42 percent in its sales for the month of May 2013. The automaker sold a total of 710 units in the month in comparison to 451 units sold in the same month in 2012.
For the period of January – May 2013, the German automaker sold 4,096 units in comparison to 3,282 units sold in the same period in 2012, an increase of 24.8 percent. The carmaker is also planning to expand its dealership network from 26 centers to 34 centers by the end of the year 2013.
Commenting on the sales performance of the company, Mr. Michael Perschke Head Audi India stated that the year 2013 has been great for the company as it has also taken the top position in the Indian luxury car segment.
