British sports car manufacturer Aston Martin has launched the grand tourer ‘Vanquish’ in India with the intention of expanding its car offerings in the Indian auto market. The new sports car has been launched with a price tag of Rs 3.85 crore (Ex-Mumbai).
The Vanquish will compete with the likes of the Ferrari 458, the F-12 and the Lamborghini Aventador in terms of pricing. The sports car is Aston Martin’s fifth car product in its Indian car portfolio.
The company’s total sales in India comprise majorly high end cars priced higher than Rs 2.5-3 crore, stated Mr. Lalit Choudhary Director Performance Cars which is the official importer of Aston Martin cars in India. He added that the super sports car segment in the India car market has been hit by slow sales due to sluggishness in the overall sales in the Indian auto industry.
