Hyundai Motor India, the country’s second largest automobile manufacturer and the largest car exporter has posted a growth of 6.4 percent in its total sales in the month of July 2012 selling 52,845 units in the month as compared to 49,666 units in the same period in 2011.

A 7.58 percent growth was registered in domestic sales with 27,585 units in July 2012, up from 25,642 units sold in the month in 2011. The company’s exports rose by 5.14 percent from 24,024 units in July 2011 to 25,260 units in the same month in 2012.

According to Mr. Rakesh Srivastava Vice-President (National Sales) Hyundai Motor India, the consumer sentiments are low as a result of inflation, high fuel prices and interest rates. He added that major triggers are required to revive the market sentiments and to boost activity in the industry.
