Hyundai India, the largest car exporter and the second largest car manufacturer in India has launched an automatic version of the newly launched Grand i10 hatchback at a price of Rs 5,95,000 (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

The automatic version of the Grand i10 has been launched with a petrol engine and features a four-speed automatic transmission. Two trims of the hatchback, the Sportz and the Asta will be offered with an automatic transmission option.

The Sportz trim of the Grand i10 automatic is priced at Rs 5,95,000 (ex-showroom, Mumbai) while the Asta trim comes with a price tag of Rs 6,23,000 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The Korean automobile manufacturer is also expected to launch an automatic version of the new hatchback with a diesel engine option.

The new Grand i10 hatchback launched recently in September 2013 competes with the likes of the Swift hatchback by Maruti Suzuki. The carmaker is planning to increase the production of the car model to meet the demand and reduce the waiting period for delivery.
