    Mercedes Benz India launched SL 350 at Rs 80.9 lakh and GL 500 at 98.5 lakh

    Mercedes-Benz India launches the SL 350 at priced Rs 8,090,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) and GL 500 at priced Rs 9,850,000 in the luxury car market India.

    T he SL 350 has 3.5 litre V6 sports engine that generates a power of 315Hp and torque of 360Nm. It giving an enhanced performance & reduced fuel consumption. It is Integrated with standard Direct Steering with Variable Servo Assistance.

    The GL 500 Sports a powerful 5.4 litre V6 engine producing a power of 388hp along with a maximum torque of 530Nm. New 20-inch alloys imparts a sporty look & front seat memory packages ensure ease of driving

    The SL-Class, one of the most legendary cars in the Mercedes-Benz stable, derives its DNA from the legendary 300 SL ‘Gullwing’ and has always been a favourite among automobile aficionados across the globe. The GL 500 is amongst the most powerful SUV in Mercedes-Benz’s portfolio and it strengthens the company’s presence in the increasingly popular SUV segment.

    According the media report Mercedes-Benz India sold 5,819 units in 2010, up 80% from the previous year, while BMW’s sales jumped 73% to 6,246 vehicles. Which is clearly indicating a sharp rise in demand for premium vehicles.
