Volvo India, the Swedish luxury car manufacturer has become the fastest growing car brand in the luxury car segment in the Indian car market. The company’s sales in the year 2013 have grown by 50 percent which is the highest growth rate among the luxury car brands in India.
The automaker witnessed a growth of about 150 percent in its sales for the year 2012, selling 821 cars in comparison to 320 units sold in the year 2011.
Volvo India has also been participating on various appropriate industry platforms and events in order to showcase and increase the visibility if the brand. The Swedish carmaker is planning to launch the S60 and XC60 car models from its global car portfolio by early 2014. The global launch of the next generation XC90 is also being scheduled for the end of 2014.
