Volkswagen India, the Indian arm of the European automobile giant Volkswagen has launched a new variant of the Polo hatchback in the Indian market, namely the Cross Polo at a price of Rs 7,75,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The new variant of the Polo hatchback is equipped with a 1.2 liter diesel engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. According to Mr. Arvind Saxena Managing Director Volkswagen Passenger Cars, the Polo hatchback has become a significant carline in its Indian car portfolio and the carmaker will continue to update the car model with new features.
Mr. Saxena added that the new variant of the Polo is a premium hatchback in a sporty crossover style and includes features such as new cross front and rear bumpers, silver painted mirrors & roof tails and black side cladding and wheel arches.
