Volkswagen India has finally launched its most awaited Ameo Diesel in India at a starting price of Rs. 6.33 lakh for the base Trendline variant and its goes upto Rs. 9.31 lakh (all ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-end Highline automatic variant. The diesel version is available in three variants with 5-Speed manual transmission – Trendline, Comfortline , Highline and two 7 speed DSG variants – Comfortline DSG, Highline DSG.

Volkswagen Ameo Diesel technical details:
The VW Ameo diesel is powered by 1.5-liter 4-cylinder TDI engine that generates 110 PS of power @ 4000 rpm and 250 Nm of torque between 1500-3000rpm. It is available with a 5-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG (Automatic) transmission. The engine has capacity to deliver an ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of 21.73 km/l.
