While Tata Motors has been experimenting with electric vehicles and hybrid systems, there is now strong evidence that suggests the Indian manufacturer is working on developing an electric vehicle. The news comes after French giant Dassault Systemes announced that they are providing back end software for design and development for an electric car to Tata Motors. Meanwhile, Tata Technologies says they are working with the French company to meet numerous designs and cost constraints, as well as create the targeted user experience, which includes a final vehicle to be developed with a price tag of under USD 20,000 or more than Rs 10 lakh. While Tata Motors has made similar announcements for Electric vehicle development in the past, we have still yet to see any major advancement up until now since they have joined forces with Dassault. We will just have to wait and see how fruitful the collaboration can be.
