Indian automobile maker Tata Motors has announced discounts and freebies worth up to Rs 1,50,000 on its car models. The carmaker expects to boost its car sales in India with the discount schemes which are valid till December 31, 2012.
The discounts offered by the carmaker range from Rs 25,000 to Rs 1,50,000 and include cash benefits and exchange offers along with extended warranty and value added services. The Manza mid size sedan is being offered with benefits up to Rs 50,000 while the Indigo eCS sedan has benefits up to Rs 45,000. The carmaker offers up to Rs 60,000 and Rs 35,000 worth of benefits on the Indica Vista and the Indica eV2 respectively.
The mini car Nano by the automaker is being offered with benefits of up to Rs 25,000, the Sumo Gold with benefits of Rs 50,000 and the Aria crossover with benefits of Rs 1,50,000.
The move by Tata Motors comes when most carmakers in India are implementing price hikes from January 2013 in response to the currency fluctuations and high input costs.
