    carsBy carsJuly 5, 2012Updated:July 11, 2026No Comments1 Min Read

The Indian arm of the Renault-Nissan alliance, Renault-Nissan India is planning to expand its production capacity in India after the saturation of its 4,00,000 cars per annum capacity at its Oragadam facility near Chennai. The decision to expand and enhance the facility will rest on the demand for its car, stated Marc Nassif Managing Director of Renault India.

Mr. Nassif added that the expansion may be implemented at the existing facility or a new facility may be set up in another region of India. He stated that the company also plans to enter new car segments based on the strategy for the Indian automobile market.

The Oragadam facility is the production center for both the French automaker Renault and Japanese auto manufacturer Nissan.
