    carsBy carsJuly 9, 2012Updated:July 3, 2023No Comments1 Min Read

BMW India has decided to replace its President Mr. Andreas Schaaf six months before the end of his tenure. He will be succeeded by Mr. Philipp von Sahr who currently is serving as the President of BMW Group Belgium-Luxemburg.

Mr. Andreas Schaaf who became President of the company’s Indian arm in April 2010 is to return to the headquarters of the company in Munich. The development comes as a surprise to industry experts as BMW India is currently in the process of forming strategies to ward off competition from Audi India and Jaguar Land Rover.

A spokesperson for BMW stated that the change in the company’s head is part of its global realignment strategy.
