Volkswagen has launched the refreshed version of new Volkswagen Vento 2014 in India at starting price Rs. 7.44 lakh in ex-showroom Delhi. The main highlight of the new Vento is the addition new 1.5-litre diesel engine, which is also in the Polo hatchback model.

It gets few cosmetic changes and additions equipment like the brand new face restrained-yet-smart use of chrome, reprofiled headlamps and redesigned bumper, also it gets brand new alloys wheel, tweaked rear bumper and tail-lights. Inside updates, it gets the same new 3-spoke steering wheel inspired by the Polo and gets piano-black finish and audio and telephony controls. The two-tone dashboard and the centre console gets silver finishing in contrast to the black.

The Trendline, Comfortline and Highline variants are powered by 1.5-litre TDI engine and mated to the 5-speed manual transmission while the 7-speed DSG Automatic transmission offered with Comfortline and Highline variants.
The petrol version is powered by the 1.6-litre MPI engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, which is available in three variants Trendline, Comfortline and Highline while the 1.2-litre TSI engine comes paired to a 7-speed DSG Automatic gearbox and is available in Comfortline and Highline variants.
