Mercedes Benz India, the Indian arm of the German luxury automobile manufacturer Mercedes Benz has inaugurated the largest car dealership in Punjab at Mohali. The new facility spread across an area of 55,000 square feet and includes a showroom and a workshop. The new dealership has been set up with an investment of Rs 16 crore.
According to Mr. Eberhard Kern Managing Director and CEO Mercedes-Benz India, the Punjab luxury market is of strategic importance to the carmaker as it accounts for 7 percent of its total sales in India. The automaker sold 40 percent of the total luxury cars sold in the state of Punjab in the year 2013.
The new showroom facility is capable of displaying a total of 11 cars and features a luxurious customer lounge and a Cafe Mercedes. The facility also includes a boutique collection and a special play area for children.
The service center within the facility is capable of servicing up to 560 cars a month using 15 productive bays.
