The country’s largest luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz, has launched a petrol variant of its highest selling SUV, the GLE. The GLE has been an outright bestseller SUV for Mercedes-Benz in India and has created new benchmarks in the segment. The GLE 400 4MATIC has been launched with a powerful V6 petrol engine,in order to provide customers with an option between a diesel and petrol version. The SUV segment has been the fastest growing for Mercedes-Benz India for the past two years, and underlines the growing penchant of SUVs amongst customers.
The GLE 400 4MATIC features a V6 petrol engine that churns out 333bhp and 480Nm of torque available at as low as 1600 rpm. The engine is mated to a7G-TRONIC PLUS transmission, which ensures rapid gear shifts, in turn enhancing the driving performance. The five modes of Comfort, Sport, Slippery, Individual and Off-road enable enthusiasts to make the best of every ground. As you would expect from any Mercedes, the new GLE comes with great features such as the revolutionary Apple CarPlay as standard and a Harman Kardon Logic 7 surround sound system that provides 360 degree acoustic experience in every seat.
