German luxury car maker Mercedes is launching the ‘designo’ platform in India, which epitomizes individualization and will offer its customers with innumerable customization options to choose from, ranging from exclusive paint finishes, high quality interior appointments and trims. For the first time ever, Mercedes-Benz also has launched three exclusive luxury cars in just one day in India. These three supremely exclusive cars are the S 500 Coupe, the AMG S 63 Coupe and the AMG G 63 ‘Crazy Colour’ Edition.
The S 500 Coupe is available with a 4,663cc V8 engine and has a rated output of 455bhp and its torque level peaks at 700 Nm. The sporty and dynamic motoring experience is significantly enhanced by the emotional sound produced by the exhaust system. The S 500 Coupé is characterized by typical rear-wheel-drive proportions, emphasized by the hallmark Mercedes dropping line. The AMG S 63 Coupé looks simply fantastic and benefits from the systematic implementation of the AMG lightweight performance strategy. Lightweight construction has reduced the vehicle weight by 65 kilograms – even though the car has a higher output and more extensive standard equipment. Furthermore, the entire outer skin and the front end of the body are made of aluminium.
The reduced weight allows the AMG S 63 Coupé to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.2 seconds and goes on to reach a top speed of 250 kmph (electronically limited). Mercedes-Benz India also launched an exclusive edition of the AMG G 63 called the Crazy Colour Edition. As the G enters its 36th year of production, Mercedes now offers three additional and exclusive paint choices for the iconic off-roader’s patrons. The new colour package is available for customers wishing to give their AMG GClass an even more personal look.
