Mahindra Reva, the Indian electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer and a part of the Indian carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) launched the much hyped all-electric Mahindra e2o in India on March 18, 2013.
The new EV was unveiled at India Gate in New Delhi in the presence of Dr. Farooq Abdullah Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Mrs. Sheila Dixit Chief Minister of Delhi and Mr. Praful Patel Minster Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises.
The chairman of Mahindra Group, Mr. Anand Mahindra and the chairman of Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles, Mr. Pawan Goenka were also present at the unveiling session of the e2o EV. Priced at Rs. 5,96,000 (On-road Delhi, post state subsidy), the e2o is now available at select Mahindra dealerships will be launched all across India in a phased manner.
Mr. Anand Mahindra stated that the new EV portrays Mahindra Group’s efforts at redefining sustainable urbanization along with the creation of an ecosystem of environment friendly innovations.
