The second much awaited model in the Jaguar ultra-high performance R-S range, is now here and this time it comes in the form of the XFR-S Sedan. The XFR has already got a beautiful sporty body, so its no surprise that this awesome luxury sedan gets to go R-S and join its XKR-S sibling as a vivid expression of the carmaker’s longstanding performance lineage. The 5-liter supercharged V8 engine provides electrifying performance from 550hp and this all-new combination provides a visceral blend of vivid acceleration and driver involvement. The 2014 Jaguar XFR-S can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and reach an electronically-limited maximum track speed of 300km/h. For the American market, only 100 units will be available, so we have no clue if it will be easy to get your hands on one of these beauties in India. Mated with the deadly engine is an all-new 8-speed transmission with Quickshift technology that maximizes the benefit of the engine recalibration. Quickshift ideally suits the XFR-S model’s track-tuned performance capability. When the driver shifts manually by using the steering wheel-mounted paddles, the Quickshift strategy ensures the quickest, crispest shifts via rapid and precisely timed engine torque intervention – all this means that you would definitely be visiting a race track on many occasions. The car also gets some serious but subtle design changes to make it more sporty and aerodynamic.
