Hyundai Motor India Limited will be launching the Hyundai i20 by the end of December 2008. The i20 will be priced between Rs. 5 lakh and 5.5 lakh and will have the Skoda Fabia and the Maruti Swift as its major competitors. The five-door hatchback will be powered by a 1.4 litre petrol Kappa engine. In countries other than India, to which the i20 is already being exported, the car has replaced the Hyundai Getz, which is still available in India.
