Honda Cars India, the wholly owned subsidiary of the Japanese automobile manufacturer Honda has launched its first multi-purpose vehicle for the Indian car market, the Mobilio MPV at an entry level price of Rs 6,49,000 (Ex-showroom Delhi).
The petrol versions of the new car model are priced in the range of Rs 6,49,000 – Rs 8,76,000, based on the variant, while the diesel versions of the new MPV are priced between Rs 7,89,000 – Rs 10,86,000 (Ex-showroom Delhi).
The Honda Mobilio is equipped with the new 1.5-litre turbocharged Earth Dreams diesel engine which also powers the Amaze compact sedan and the City sedan. The petrol version is equipped with a 1.5-litre i-VTEC unit.
According to Honda, the name Mobilio comes from the words mobility and mobile.
