    Honda City leads sales in the mid-size sedan segment in India

    The new Honda City sedan by Honda Cars India, the wholly owned subsidiary of the Japanese automobile manufacturer Honda is currently leading the mid-size sedan segment in India.

    As reported by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the City sedan led the sales in its category with 50,000 units sold in the period January – July 2014. The sedan is followed by Hyundai Verna sedan in the second place with 23,000 unit sales for the same period in 2013.

    Currently, the Honda City sedan is averaging sales of 7,500 units on a monthly basis between the period January – July 2014. Meanwhile, the Verna sedan has attained a sales average of 3,400 units per month in the same period.
