Honda Car India has finally launched the Honda Accord hybrid in India at a price tag Rs. 37,00,000 (Ex-showroom Delhi). The model was discontinued in 2013 due to slow sales but now come back in a Hybrid engine avatar called ninth generation Accord. The previous versions of Accords were assembled in India but new model is available as a CBU (completely built unit) in India.

Honda Accord Hybrid is powered by the powerful and efficient 2.4 litre, 4-cylinder engine, Sport Hybrid i-MMD (Intelligent Multi-mode Drive) 2-motor hybrid system with innovative Earth Dreams Technology. Electric motor powered by a 1.3Kilowatt/h lithium-ion battery pack. Hybrids reduce idle emissions by shutting down the combustion engine at idle and restarting it when needed, which is known as a start-stop system.
The 2.0L i-VTEC engine has capacity to generate 145PS of power @ 6200rpm and 175 Nm of torque @ 4000, while the electric motor is powered by 184 PS of power between 5000-6000rpm and 315 Nm of torque @ 0-2000rpm. The Accord Hybrid is combined power output of 215 PS which can deliver 23.1 kmpl of fuel efficiency.
The vehicle has 60 litres of fuel tank capacity and it measures 4933 mm in length, 1849 mm in width, 1464 mm in height and 2776 mm of wheelbase.
