    General Motors India reduces prices on Sail U-VA

    General Motors India, the Indian arm of the American car manufacturer has reduced the prices on the Sail U-VA hatchback from its Chevrolet brand of cars. The entry level price for the hatchback has been reduced to Rs 4,19,000 ex-showroom, Thane) from the earlier price of Rs 4,44,000 (Ex-showroom, Thane).

    Apart from the price reduction, the carmaker is also offering a discount of Rs 3,000 for all corporates on models produced in the year 2013. Additionally, the 2012 models of the U-VA, both petrol and diesel versions are being offered at a discount of Rs 25,000.

    With the price reduction and the additional discount schemes, the American carmaker expects to boost sales in the Indian market.

    The sales of the Sail U-VA hatchback have been falling since its launch in November 2012 and sold 560 units in the month of February 2013.
