Honda Cars India, the wholly owned subsidiary of the Japanese car manufacturer Honda has witnessed a fall of 26.49 percent in its sales for the month of February 2013. The carmaker sold 6,510 units in the month in comparison to 8,856 units sold in the same month in 2012.
Among the car models in the Honda India portfolio, the major contributor to the sales figures was the City mid-size sedan with 3,271 units, followed by the small car Brio with 2,916 units.
The company’s premium hatchback Jazz sold 185 units while the Civic sedan sold 21 units. The premium sedan Accord by Honda sold 62 units.
Apart from the domestic sales of the Japanese automobile manufacturer, a total of 510 units were exported from India during the month of February 2013.
